Haver-&-Boecker
1887

In 1887 Carl Haver and Eduard Boecker founded the company in Hohenlimburg and began with products made out of woven wire cloth.

1897

Moving the headquarter to Oelde: The employee numbers grew rapidly.

Expansion of the product program:

  • 250 mesh wire mesh with 10,000 meshes per cm²
  • A bag closure made out of wire for open paper bags in the cement industry
1913-1937
  • The company started working with other countries and began exporting products. 
  • The Machinery Division was created, and the first HAVER valve bag packaging machine was built. 

1938-1962
  • The company began developing and producing high-quality machines more quickly.  
  • They made some of the finest wire mesh in the world (540 mesh with 45,000 meshes per cm²). 

1963-1987
  • New and improved machines helped the company grow even more.  
  • The company opened branches in different countries around the world.  
  • The weaving process was upgraded to automatic machines.

1988-2012
  • The company created and grew its architectural wire mesh business, reaching new markets.  
  • Sales expanded further into South America and Asia.  
  • Technology kept improving to make better products and offer more options.  
  • A new generation of automatic weaving machines was introduced.  
  • The company celebrated its 125th anniversary.

2013 until today
  • The company added new and innovative products and solutions, becoming more diverse.  
  • It continues to proudly remain a family business.  
  • The HAVER Academy was founded to train employees and customers.
1872

In September, W.S. Tyler was founded under the name Cleveland Wire Works and was a supplier of ornamental iron. Original products included woven wire screens, fire place screens, garden lattices, and elevator cab enclosers.

1889

Cleveland Wire Works officially changes its name to W.S. Tyler

1910

Washington S. Tyler introduces a scientifically designed testing series that would come to be known as the Tyler Standard Scale Sieve Series. This series would soon become nationally regarded and serve as the foundation of the ASTM E-11 standard.

1914

The W.S. Tyler RO-TAP Mechanical Sieve Shaker is launched. W.S. Tyler relocates to its one million square foot Superior Ave location. This location had 32 buildings that were interconnected.

1930

W.S. Tyler and HAVER & BOECKER lay the foundation for an early working relationship. Marking the beginning of HAVER & BOECKER’s North American presence.

Late 1950s

W.S. Tyler and Haver & Boecker create a small joint venture under the name Tylinter INC. This venture entailed Haver & Boecker Wire Weaving buying precision German woven wire from Haver & Boecker and distributing it in the North American market.

2026

After being acquired by HAVER & BOECKER in 1998, W.S. Tyler officially begins operating under the name HAVER & BOECKER WIRE WEAVING INC.
